Do Not Re-use "Soft" Waterbottles!

Appleton, WI: A recent study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) found that people with the highest urine levels of 'Bisphenol A' were more likely to develop diabetes. Bisphenol A is a chemical found in plastics. (printed in Men's Health on page 42, December 2008 issue)

As a general rule, the harder the plastic, the less likely the chemicals will leech out of the plastic and the safer it is to use or re-use. To gauge this, just look at the bottom of the bottle, the higher the number the harder the plastic. The number "1" and "2" are the softest forms of plastic - they should not be re-used.

My advise: buy a metal or hard plastic sport bottle to use and re-use.
