A recent article in the November/December issue of AARP magazine gives current statistics about insurance claims and tips on how to fight back if your claim is denied.
1. One claim in seven is initially denied. This totals 200 million per year.
2. Insurance companies are becoming more aggressive especially on high dollar claims.
3. Don't accept the insurance companies initial word as final.
4. Ninety six percent of the people do not question their denied claim.
5. Build your case and collect evidence before calling to demand a review.
6. Cases are overturned about 80% of the time.
