Vitamin C May Help You Avoid Diabetes!

Vitamin C is good for your heart and skin but a recent article in Men's Health magazine showed that Vitamin C may also help reduce the onset of Diabetes. In the study, participants who ate 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day were 62% less likely to develope diabetes than those who consumed 3 servings.

The likely reason is that Vitamin C helps reduce oxidative stress on the body. Oxidative stress can disrupt your body's ability to process carbs which leads to high blood sugar levels. So to reduce your chances of developing Diabetes, stock up on citrus fruits, red peppers, strawberries, tomatoes and broccoli.
