A recent article in Reader's Digest asked 4 medical experts for solutions to Type 2 Diabetes. Here are their responses:
1) "People who ate a plant-based, low fat vegan diet lost weight, reduced their cholesterol and improved their blood sugar....You can use diet to reverse the condition, but if you return to your old habits, it will come right back." Neal Barnard, MD
2) "Diet and exercise have the biggest impact, and the best diet is high in fiber and low in the glycemic index foods....fiber lowers insulin and cholesterol levels." Dwight Mckee, MD
3) "A main cause of type 2 diabetes is being overweight. You have to make a big change to get healthy, and exercise is key to reversing the condition....aim to burn 300 calories a day....gradually increase your exercise time." Joel Fuhrman, MD
4) "Diabetes is a disease not a moral failing. Lifestyle modifications can make it better...." Robin Goland, MD
My recommendation: Try diet, exercise and nutritional changes first before any drugs are used.

Paying More for More of the Same!
A recent study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) 2008 showed that medical and pharaceutical care for back and neck problems increased substancially but without significant improvement in health and function.
The Medical Expenditure Panel Survey showed that from 1997 to 2005, medical care increased from $52 billion per year to $86 billion per year. Medication costs for spinal problems rose from $7 billion per year to $20 billion per year. (In contrast, diabetic care rose from $89 billion to $98 billion.)
The authors noted that, "Despite rapidly increasing expenditures from 1997 to 2005, there was no improvement over this period in self-assessed limitations or social functioning."
Sadly, the increase in health care costs did not result in better health outcomes. It seems that the need for chiropractic and chiropractic's potential to impact the current health situation are continuing to grow!
My recommendation: Try chiropractic treatment first before expensive medical care or drugs.

Honey, I Shrunk Your Brain??
Two recent studies published in Neurology, January 2009, determined that Hormone Replacement Therapy for women is linked to brain shrinkage, but not to small brain lesions that are the first sign of cardiovascular disease. The studies aimed at finding out how hormone therapy might affect memory and thinking skills.
MRI scans were taken of 1400 women ages 71 - 89. They found that women taking estrogen (with or without progestin) had smaller brain volumes in two specific areas of the brain. Both areas were involved with thinking and memory skills. One of the areas (the hippocampus) is a risk factor for dementia.
My recommendation: Try to use natural alternatives to Hormone Replacement Therapy first before any drugs are used.
If you have any questions about this, please contact Dr. Dan Thibodeau at 920-954-1002 or at DrDan1221@yahoo.com

Overuse of Farmland Creates Depleted Soil.
A recent article published in To Your Health magazine, February 2009, determined that the growing regions in the United States are continuing to get smaller. The overuse of the same soil, instead of rotating use of the land, causes the earth's soil to become depleted of essential organic complexes, nutrients and minerals. Even if you eat an all-organic diet, you need to supplement your diet.
Comment: This is not a new idea and has been talked about for the last 10-15 years. This article reminded me that it was a good topic to re-visit.
My recommendation: Include in your diet a good quality multi-vitamin/multi-mineral supplement. Many are now available to help with specific health concerns, for example, female issues, blood sugar problems, chewable, etc.

Low-Tech Treatment Same as Knee Surgery.
A recent study seen in Good Health magazine, March 2009, determined that for arthritic knee pain - arthroscopic surgery to smooth cartilage and remove floating tissue has been standard treatment.
The rigorous study, following 178 Canadian patients, found that the popular procedure offered no benefit over a regimen of physical therapy and in some cases anti-inflammatory injections or injections of fluid-restoring hyaluronic acid.
Two years later, the surgery patients had no less pain and no more mobility than the non-surgery group. Robert Litchfield, MD said, "Scoping [arthroscopic knee surgery] is great for many things but it won't cure your arthritis."
My recommendation: Even though the study did not mention Chiropractic care directly, this shows that patients should try conservative treatment options before choosing surgery. The Chiropractic care, physiotherapy, nutrition and exercise rehab that we offer at our office has been very successful in helping to reduce and eliminate knee pain for many patients. Please make surgery your last option not your first.

Omega 3 Fish Oil Better Than Cholesterol Drug!
A recent study seen in To Your Health magazine, February 2009 was originally published in the British medical journal Lancet. This study determined that omega 3 fish oil supplements taken daily were superior to the popular prescription cholesterol reducing drug Crestor. Crestor is prescribed to adults with high cholesterol and has common side effects including headaches, muscle pain, abdominal pain, weakness and nausea. The 4 year study followed 11,500 patients. The patients given fish oil were less susceptible to side effects, hospitalization and death.
I recommend about 1000 - 1500mg of omega 3 fish oil per day however good overall nutrition and exercise are also important for a healthy lifestyle.
(Please check with your doctor before you start any new supplements or exercise programs.)

Normal Cholesterol Levels Causes Heart Disease
An article in the Appleton Post Crescent two weeks ago told about two recent studies that showed that patients with normal levels of bad cholesterol were still at risk of heart attacks and strokes.
The researchers concluded that either:
1) Normal bad cholesterol levels were set too high thus allowing many patients to be missed.
2) Bad cholesterol is not a good measure of heart attack and stroke risk.
Since bad cholesterol is only one of the risk factors including age, gender, smoking, blood pressure, diabetes, and family history; it should not be used as the only measurement.
My personal opinion is that the pharmacuetical companies will jump on this study to prove that another 11 million people shoud be taking cholesterol lowering drugs. This equates to alot of additional money in their pockets.

Chiropractic Treatment Helps Blind Man See
Doug Harkey, from Dubuque Iowa, whose left eye suddenly stopped working 12 years ago, thought he was making a routine visit to his chiropractor. After his chiropractic adjustment, his blind eye started to water for about 45 minutes. This made his good eye water also. When he wiped his good eye he noticed he could partially see out of his blind eye.
The chiropractor told him that the treatments to his spine helped get his nervous system to function better and that may have restored his vision.
Doug's vision is now nearly perfect in his "blind" eye, however he does wear glasses. He has been getting used to the new depth perception that he hasn't had for the last 12 years.

Various Testimonials
Fibromyalgia
I was involved in a car accident on March 17th, 1997. I was stopped in traffic when I was hit from behind at 35 mph. I was under Doctor's care and off of work for almost 2 years. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and taking 26 pain pills a day. I was in a fog, slept all the time and the bills were piling up. A friend told me about the Doctor and I decided I had to try something to get my life back. It took about 2 months of twice weekly visits and he finally got my shoulders and rib area to move where I was back in alignment. I was given nutrients and I no longer take any prescription drugs. I still see him on an as needed basis to keep everything in good working order and I am very thankful that I gave them a try because it changed my life.

Hip Pain
Several years ago I was involved in a car collision. I began seeing Dr. Dan shortly afterwards for the injuries I sustained to my neck, low back and hip. It was amazing how much better I felt within a short period of time. The technique he uses to find the source of the pain is amazing and his approach to chiropractic treatments is totally different than any I’ve had before. No more twisting on the neck and thrusting on the back. His adjustments are virtually pain free. I am convinced that his treatments helped me to heal much quicker.

Leg Pain
There are so many wonderful things that have happened to me since working with the Doctor for my Arthritis. After the first treatment my left leg was so much less painful and I was able to go up steps without pulling myself up with the banister, and it keeps getting better. I have had five treatments to date, and my legs and arms are so much better. I had been to an Orthopedic Surgeon and nothing happened after weeks of therapy. The right leg was somewhat painful but not like the left leg. Now the right leg gives me little or no problem. Now, thanks to the Doctor, I have no worries about getting up, using my legs, and walking up and down stairs. All this after five visits, I wonder how great I will feel after 10 or 15 visits?
I can’t thank him enough for giving my life back to me.
Mark E.
Low Back Pain
I have suffered from low back problems and arthritis for many years. And in those many years, I have run the gamut of care and treatment, from orthopedic to chiropractic to physical therapy to acupuncture. It wasn't until I began receiving treatment that I felt there was hope. To start, the Doctor was thorough and honest in assessing my chronic condition. He then put together a results-oriented, multi-layered treatment program that has offered me both immediate relief and long-term promise. I also have seen the results in the treatment of injuries and in the enhancement of strength and flexibility. He can make a difference in your health and wellbeing. Not only is the Doctor skillful and professional in his care, he is genuine and considerate. I have never been more confident or more comfortable in someone's care.

Your Neck Muscles Get Fat After a Whiplash Injury
A 2008 study compared T-1 weighted MRI images of subjects with whiplash associated disorders and healthy controls. The authors found a higher level of fat within all extensor muscles in the neck of the whiplash group. The whiplash group also had reduced pressure pain thresholds and reduced hot/cold pain thresholds. (This may explain why people who have had previous whiplash injuries can develop chronic pain and can easily re-injure themselves.)
They hypothesize that the fatty infiltrate may be due to nerve damage and/or the inflammatory response with subsequent disuse of the neck muscles after the whiplash injury.
They would like to study this more to see what treatment would be best for whiplash and if the treatment would reduce the fatty deposits. The degree of fat may also be useful in determining if the patient will have good results or not.
resource: National Injury Diagnostics, 2/08.

Vitamin C May Help You Avoid Diabetes!
Vitamin C is good for your heart and skin but a recent article in Men's Health magazine showed that Vitamin C may also help reduce the onset of Diabetes. In the study, participants who ate 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day were 62% less likely to develope diabetes than those who consumed 3 servings.
The likely reason is that Vitamin C helps reduce oxidative stress on the body. Oxidative stress can disrupt your body's ability to process carbs which leads to high blood sugar levels. So to reduce your chances of developing Diabetes, stock up on citrus fruits, red peppers, strawberries, tomatoes and broccoli.

Beware of Nintendonitis!
To everyone who received a Nintendo Wii for Christmas and played it all day for the last few days, beware of waking up with sore arms and shoulders. You now have NINTENDONITIS!
What is a tendon?
A tendon is a tough band of fibrous tissue that connects your muscles to the bones. The skeletal muscles in your body are responsible for moving your bones, thus enabling you to walk, jump, lift, and move in many ways. When a muscle contracts it pulls on a tendon which pulls on the bone to cause movements. When functioning normally, these tendons glide easily and smoothly as the muscle contracts.
What is tendonitis?
Sometimes the tendons become inflamed and the action of pulling the muscle becomes irritating. If the normal smooth gliding motion of your tendon is impaired, the tendon will become inflamed and movement will painful. This is called tendonitis, and literally means inflammation of the tendon.
What causes tendonitis?
The most common cause of tendonitis is overuse. Commonly, individuals begin an exercise program, or increase their level of exercise, and begin to experience symptoms of tendonitis. The tendon is unaccustomed to the new level of demand, and this overuse will cause an inflammation and tendonitis.
Treatment for tendonitis.
Below is some advice for tendonitis treatment and avoiding recurrences of this problem. As with any treatment program, talk with your doctor before you begin tendonitis treatment! In order to aid healing you should:
· Rest - Tendonitis treatment must begin by avoiding aggravating movements. This may mean taking a break from a favorite activity for a period of time, but this is a necessary step to allow the inflamed tendon to heal. It is also recommended in tendonitis treatment to try alternative activities; for example alternate Wii Tennis and Wii bowling.
· Apply Ice - Icing the area of inflammation is an important aspect of tendonitis treatment. The ice will help to reduce the inflammation and decrease swelling. By minimizing inflammation and swelling, the tendon can heal. Ice is best 15 minutes on and 30 minutes off. Do this 4 to 5 times in a row for the first 3-4 days.
· Try over-the-counter medications - Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) include a long list of possibilities such as Ibuprofen, Motrin, Naprosyn, Celebrex, and many others. Tendonitis treatment can be improved by these medications that will decrease pain and swelling. Be sure to talk to your doctor before starting these medications.
· Take Frequent Breaks - Alternate repetitive tasks with breaks to relieve stress on the tendons. Don't perform one activity continuously for hours at a time. For those with exercise-related tendonitis, try to vary your workouts to relieve the repetitive stress of one exercise activity.
· Try Chiropractic Care - A Chiropractic adjustment, physiotherapy, stretching and exercises can help speed up healing of “Nintendonitis” and prevent reoccurrences.
The steps listed above are usually adequate “Nintendonitis” treatment, and most patients have resolution of their symptoms. Learning to reduce or avoid activities that may cause a flare-up can also be important.

Chiropractic Care Reduces Blood Pressure
A study at the University of Chicago showed that a specific chiropractic adjustment of the upper neck can significantly lower high blood pressure. The results were better than taking 2 blood pressure medications at the same time and there were no side effects as with many medications.
The patients averaged a 14mm drop in systolic pressure (the first number) and an 8mm drop in the diastolic pressure (the second number). The decrease in blood pressure was still seen 8 weeks after the treatment. The researcher suggests that injury to the upper neck may affect the blood flow in the arteries at the base of the skull causing the high blood pressure. Whether the chiropractic treatment fixes the injury is unknown.

Business Lessons Learned From My Dog
This was very interesting when I read it:
- Always greet customers with excitement and enthusiasm, even when you just saw them 3 minutes ago. They never grow tired of thinking they are the most important thing in your life.
- Don't confuse your tail with a goal worth chasing.
- Sleep as many hours a day as possible, but always be ready to play when the chance arises.
- Don't be afraid to get dirty, in fact relish it.
- When the big folks are feasting, if you know how to work things, you'll be able to feast too.
- Barking alot is annoying, so don't do it often. That way when you do bark, people spring to attention.
- Don't bark at the mailman. He's been known to have a dog treat in his pocket.
- The more you show that you don't need a leash, the less you have to wear it. Conversely, if you're always tugging on your leash, you'll always have to wear it.
- The joy is in digging the hole, not in hiding the bone. But it's also reassuring to know there are a few bones hidden.
- Biting someone never leads to anything good.
- Continuously learning new tricks keeps you young.
- Fool your masters into thinking they are in charge.

Don't Ignore Cough Medication Warnings!
According to researchers at Boston University, 1 in 10 children use at least one cough medication during any given week. Young children are the most frequent users.
Why is this important? Earlier this year the Food and Drug Administration(FDA) issued a public health advisory recommending that parents NOT use over-the-counter cough and cold products to treat children under the age of 2. They were also questioning if these products were safe for children age 2-11.

Why is this important? Earlier this year the Food and Drug Administration(FDA) issued a public health advisory recommending that parents NOT use over-the-counter cough and cold products to treat children under the age of 2. They were also questioning if these products were safe for children age 2-11.
The director of the FDA, Dr. Charles Ganley stated, "These medicines, which treat symptoms and not the underlying condition, have NOT been shown to be safe or effective in children under age 2."

Testimonials About Auto Accidents
Several years ago I was involved in a car collision. I began seeing Dr. Dan shortly afterwards for the injuries I sustained to my neck, low back and hip. It was amazing how much better I felt within a short period of time. The technique he uses to find the source of the pain is amazing and his approach to chiropractic treatments is totally different than any I’ve had before. No more twisting on the neck and thrusting on the back. His adjustments are virtually pain free. I am convinced that his treatments helped me to heal much quicker.

I have been a chiropractic patient for over 18 years. I started going to a chiropractor due to a car accident. Over the years I have been involved in four additional auto accidents. Chiropractic care has helped me to function in spite of my injuries. The Doctor has helped me along the way to recovery and his treatments have made it possible for me to enjoy life with my family. He has helped me with every pain from common headaches to the muscle aches due to fibromyalgia. I personally don't know what I would do without chiropractic care.

I was involved in a car accident in September 2003. I had severe neck pain and was advised to see a chiropractor. I looked through a list of chiropractors and decided to go to Dr. Dan Thibodeau. Dr. Dan uses the Activator technique which made me feel very comfortable. I am very leery about going to chiropractors who adjust using the cracking method, so he was my number one choice. I was seen by Dr. Dan for approximately 6 months. My health improved at a fast rate and I was released from care at the end of March 2004. He also showed me how to do exercises to strengthen my neck and back. The exercises showed me that he really cares about his patients. He is always friendly and always will go the extra mile to make a patient as comfortable as possible. Dr. Dan made my chiropractic experience a great one and I would see him again if needed.

Marinades Make Grilling Healthier!
A recent study from Kansas State University published in Mens Health Magazine (Dec. 2008) discovered that commercial marinades reduced Heterocyclic Amines (HCAs) - a suspected carcinogenic compound produced by cooking meats at high temperatures - by an average of 71%.
They believe this may be due to the antioxidants in the spices that stop free-radical reactants from forming during the cooking process.
Their best try, a Caribbean Marinade, it scored 88% HCA reduction:
Mix 1/4 tsp each of salt, red pepper and black pepper with 1/2 tsp each of sugar, thyme, allspice, rosemary and chives. Blend with 2 ounces of water and 1 ounce each of olive oil and vinegar

Testimonials about Arthritis Relief
I have suffered from low back problems and arthritis for many years. And in those many years, I have run the gamut of care and treatment, from orthopedic to chiropractic to physical therapy to acupuncture. It wasn't until I began receiving treatment that I felt there was hope. To start, the Doctor was thorough and honest in assessing my chronic condition. He then put together a results-oriented, multi-layered treatment program that has offered me both immediate relief and long-term promise.I also have seen the results in the treatment of injuries and in the enhancement of strength and flexibility. He can make a difference in your health and wellbeing. Not only is the Doctor skillful and professional in his care, he is genuine and considerate.. I have never been more confident or more comfortable in someone's care.
Dan O.

Do Not Re-use "Soft" Waterbottles!
Appleton, WI: A recent study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) found that people with the highest urine levels of 'Bisphenol A' were more likely to develop diabetes. Bisphenol A is a chemical found in plastics. (printed in Men's Health on page 42, December 2008 issue)
As a general rule, the harder the plastic, the less likely the chemicals will leech out of the plastic and the safer it is to use or re-use. To gauge this, just look at the bottom of the bottle, the higher the number the harder the plastic. The number "1" and "2" are the softest forms of plastic - they should not be re-used.
My advise: buy a metal or hard plastic sport bottle to use and re-use.

Nutritional Cleansing Accelerates Weight Loss!
The revolutionary practice of Nutritional Cleansing, which can result in greater health, well-being and weight loss, is the foundation in which Isagenix and its systems were developed. Nutritional Cleansing is built upon the health routine of cleansing, including fasting and drinking herbal remedies, which has been practiced throughout history. Cleansing gives the body the chance to rest, regenerate and assist in its natural ability to remove toxins and impurities to promote long term wellness. However, Nutritional Cleansing improves upon this ancient practice with a system that cleanses, replenishes and revitalizes the body with essential nutrients. Fasting helps to remove impurities from the body, but Nutritional Cleansing speeds up this process by infusing the body with healthy nutrients. In simple terms, Nutritional Cleansing can be compared to changing the oil in your car. We regularly change the oil in our cars because it gets dirty and clogged by pollutants. We drain the dirty oil and replace it with clean oil, which helps our cars to run more efficiently. The same can be said for our bodies. We are regularly exposed to pollutants in our environment, impurities in our diets and stress that is often created by our hectic lifestyles. Nutritional Cleansing helps the body and organs to do what they are designed to do naturally and remove impurities. Isagenix has created the practice of Nutritional Cleansing and developed systems that help to promote optimum health. Isagenix systems focus on a complete approach to greater health and wellness with Nutritional Cleansing, a low-calorie meal routine and taking essential daily nutrients. Cleanse Days are a period of low-calorie intake, with no meals and only suggested snacks, accompanied by our Cleanse for Life liquid nutritional supplement, which replenishes the body with essentials vitamins and minerals. The low-calorie meal routine consists of shake days where one to two meals are replaced with healthier options such as nutrient-rich shakes. The third meal is a suggested low-calorie, nutrient-dense meal. The final component of our systems is an infusion of essential nutrients, which includes daily supplements taken that provide essential vitamins and minerals to optimize health. Our Nutritional Cleansing systems are not a “quick-fix” or a diet, but a means to creating a healthy, manageable lifestyle. The benefits of Nutritional Cleansing, combined with the convenience of a complete wellness system, has given people the ability to change their lives in remarkable ways and has created greater health and safe, lasting weight loss for hundreds of thousands of people.

Testimonials about "Allergy Elimination"
Jonathan has struggled with a corn allergy for years. He gets the usual symptoms from allergies (rashes, headaches, intestinal problems). One reaction that is peculiar to corn is aggression and irritability. As a small child he spent part of almost every day in his room because of hitting, screaming etc. When he was about 8 I figured out that corn and corn products were the trigger. When he was taken off corn he was completely different within a day or two. Avoiding corn is harder than it might seem. It is in almost everything from soda (corn syrup) to baking powder to salt (dextrose to prevent it from caking) to many preservatives that have by-products of corn in them. The other problem is when the corn is pollinating outside he can't get away from the effects. The biggest problem was his temper. Right now we are in the middle of corn season. Mostly he is inside with the air conditioner on. (That makes all of us crabby.)
We have gone to different allergists over the years with no results. Regular doctors just don't treat food allergies. Alternative medicine has held out hope, but it hasn't worked for him. Avoidance has been our only option. He is becoming more and more sensitive to corn and its effects.
Jonathan was treated 4 times for corn this past week. I gave him half a can of soda (corn syrup) both Thursday and Friday. He still shows no sign of a headache, rash or temper. When I look in his eyes they are clear and bright instead of glazed over. After years of praying we can hardly believe he is better. There are a few more foods he needs to be treated for. Corn was obviously the one we were most concerned about because of his aggressive behavior. He has more energy than he use to and the anger is gone. He has been playing soccer 4 times a week without having to use his inhaler. I credit that to the outdoor allergens he was cleared of at Dr. Dan’s office.

I want to thank you for all you have done for our son Bryce. We first realized he had allergies when he was only 3 years old. He experienced a severe allergic reaction during a visit to a petting zoo. He ended up in the emergency room with his eyes completely swollen shut and was starting to have breathing difficulties. We took him in for allergy testing which revealed that Bryce was allergic to all furred animals along with mold and a few other things. What was hardest on Bryce was that he had to avoid dogs, cats, and hunting with his Dad. Just walking in the woods where deer had been would trigger an attack. He was taking a steroid nasal spray along with an oral allergy drug. He also was diagnosed with exercise-induced asthma and was using an inhaler as symptoms arose.
I heard of your treatment from my brother. I was ready to try anything to help Bryce and to avoid having to give him so much medication.
After your treatments, Bryce is off all medication. He played soccer last summer with no asthma symptoms at all. He also went hunting with his Dad in the fall and did not take any medication and suffered absolutely no allergy symptoms during the hunt. He has been able to stay overnight in friend’s homes where cats and dogs live inside and not had a single episode. He even held a cat right by his face and happily felt no side effect. His life has definitely changed! Thank you for helping our son when no one else could.
Mike and Jody C.
I have had the old-fashioned allergy testing and treatments – scratch tests and shots. I spent a lot of time and money getting nowhere with them and feeling miserable besides. When I heard of the allergy treatments offered by Dr. Dan and Dr. Jim, I was very interested. I feel so much better. My allergies have decreased by approximately 85%. Becoming a patient was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

My son is 14 years old. He was diagnosed with borderline ADD about 4 years ago. His problem was keeping quiet during class time. His teachers dubbed him the “class clown”, even though he insisted that he wasn’t vying for that title. His doctor put him on Adderal and then Adderal RX. While this drug helped him get a bit under control it took a toll on him. He didn’t eat very much, and as we all know a young boy eats a lot. He didn’t sleep very much, and was irritable. These were the possible side effects that we were told would happen. Living with a pre-teen coming up on teenage years is difficult in its own right but put these side effects in the mix and it was unbearable.
I learned of the Doctor’s treatments at a church meeting and thought that I would give this a try since it involved no drugs. We took him off the drugs and started with the adjustments and allergy reduction. His teachers reported that he sat in class better and was better behaved, (I didn’t tell them he wasn’t taking the Adderal anymore). That alone was proof that there was something to this allergy reduction. We found that he was allergic, however small, to quite a few things that he both loved and hated. I am anxious to see how he does with his hay fever this spring and summer.
I know the whole idea seems far fetched, and I too was skeptical at first, but I have experienced it first hand. Living with my teenager is back to being difficult just because of his age and not his ADD.
Chris W.
When Kevin was 3 he was diagnosed as having ADHD. After trying diet changes, allergy testing and behavior modification techniques, we reluctantly agreed to put Kevin on Ritalin. The medication did its job as far as slowing him down a bit, but he suffered many side effects. In 2 years he grew only 2 inches and did not gain any weight at all. He cried easily, had trouble sleeping, no appetite, and would "zone out" quite often. Finally at age 6 we made the decision to stop giving him Ritalin. He grew 6 inches in less than 1 year and gained nearly 15 pounds. His sleeping and eating patterns were still erratic, and the schoolwork was horrible…his writing was illegible and math made no sense to him. We brought him in for chiropractic care, twice a week for 6 weeks. This past week when I went to his parent-teacher conference, the first thing the teacher asked me was had we put Kevin back on Ritalin. I said no, and she showed me samples of Kevin's work and showed me the sudden improvement…for the first time his writing is in the lines, it is easy to read and much more age appropriate.Although he still tends to move around more than the average child does, he is able to concentrate, answer questions correctly and is reading better than most of his class!

To Be Healthy - Your Body Cannot Be Acidic!
MOM KNOWS BEST-EAT YOUR VEGETABLES...and RESEARCH PROVES IT!
Scientists and leading health care providers have recognized since the early 1930’s that in order for the body to remain vital, energetic and healthy the pH of the human system must remain alkaline. Published research supports this fact. A quick web search of published citations on acid-base balance on the National Institutes of Health Pub Med website shows over 900 published articles on this topic alone!
The body continually strives on a daily basis to maintain an alkaline environment (even stealing calcium from your bones) and when the balance is compromised many health problems occur. Now more than ever...the Standard American Diet (SAD) is primarily composed of acidic foods which promote acidification of the body’s internal environment. Furthermore, the consumption of tobacco, coffee, tea, alcohol and fast food (all of which have an extremely acidifying effect on the body) has grown to enormous proportions. Stress, nervous tension, noise, shortage of time, lack of exercise and other pressures are part of life today that contribute to the body’s acidification.
Since it is difficult to eat alkaline meals everyday. We created the delicious Greens First Meal Replacement Shake to help you stay healthy, active and energetic. Now you can take Greens First, Dream Protein and Complete Essential Oils together as a complete “alkalizing” meal replacement. Dream Protein is made from “hormone-free” whey and contains Stevia, a very alkaline calorie free herb that combines to provide an alkaline product. Whey protein is rich in alkaline minerals, particularly potassium and is well known for its cleansing qualities, stimulating renal, intestinal and liver elimination of body toxins and acids, not to mention helping to boost the immune system and burn body fat! When combined with an alkaline blend of fruits and vegetables such as Greens First, Dream Protein is doubly useful as it encourages elimination of acids and restores alkaline minerals to the body. Complete Essentials is a blend of ultra-pure essential healthy oils from organic flaxseed, cold water fish (EPA/DHA) and borage seed.
NOW YOU CAN EASILY GET ALL 3 MACRONUTRIENTS THAT YOU NEED EVERY DAY!
Greens First Meal Replacement Shakes are a complete balanced “alkalizing” nutritional meal that is loaded with food energy and nutrition. Greens First Meal Replacement Shakes can help you close the gap between what you eat and what you know you should eat...DELICIOUSLY!
If you have any questions or want to order, call Dr. Dan at 920-954-1002 or order online at www.GreensFirst.com/3556.

I said no, and she showed me samples of Kevin's work and showed me the sudden improvement…for the first time his writing is in the lines, it is easy to read and much more age appropriate. Although he still tends to move around more than the average child does, he is able to concentrate, answer questions correctly and is reading better than most of his class!
